Bay Venues Ltd manages the network of recreational facilities in Tauranga including the iconic Baypark & Trustpower Arena facility, the High Performance Centre, aquatic facilities, indoor sporting facilities, community centres and halls. We offer a broad range of programmes, events and venues across Tauranga and the wider region, and in doing so, aim to deliver the highest standard of customer service and excellent value to Tauranga residents and visitors to our region.
We currently have an opportunity available for a full time Venue Manager based at the University of Waikato Adams Centre for High Performance.
As Venue Manager you will be responsible for managing the operations of this impressive facility, including all maintenance, bookings, financial and other administrative reporting, health and safety compliance, team leadership, and customer and tenant relationships.
We are looking for a candidate with venue management experience, to be the face of this venue, and use their excellent relationships building skills with both customers and tenants. You will bring to the role exceptional organisational skills, no two days are the same and you will need to be able to juggle priorities while being comfortable to get hands on when necessary as the appearance of the venue and the service provided to customers is paramount.
To stand out from the crowd experience or ability in marketing or growing a client or customer base would be looked on favourably as would knowledge of the sport & recreation or high performance environments.
We are offering a full time role, Monday to Friday however flexibility to work outside of usual office hours and days may be required from time to time.
